My eyes open and I’m lost for a minute. I lift my head up to look at the time and I nearly jump out of bed. "Is it really eight thirty?" I blink a few times and when the time changes to eight thirty-one, it hits me that I'm not dreaming. I do a quick calculation in my head and realize in shock that I slept for six and a half hours. That's unheard of. I flip over to see if Holden and Amelia are still lost in sleep just to find out that I'm alone in my bed.

"What the fuck? Where are they? I can't believe they didn't wake me up," I mutter.

I'm about to get out of bed to give my best friend a piece of my mind, when I see a piece of paper on the night table on the other side of the bed with my name on it. I reach out and grab it. I unfold it and read it with a grimace. Fucker. My snoring has always been the brunt of jokes with my platoon mates. I never considered how it might affect a woman. Then again that's never been a preoccupation of mine. Not until Amelia. So she really spent the night? In my bed and then in Holden’s? Wow.

I fling the sheets off of my body. The action disperses a light trail of her expensive perfume in the air. I close my eyes and inhale in deep. Damn. I love the way she smells. Come to think about it, I love the way she tastes—and I'm talking about both sets of lips. There's a whole lot about Amelia that I like. I wouldn't be entirely opposed to spending the day in bed with her and Holden. Alas, if last week was any indication, I'm sure this week will be busy as hell.

“Time to get up, buddy,” I coax myself.

I swing my legs off the bed to stand up. I look down and a smile stretches across my face at the sight of my massive erection. Holy shit. Considering how many times we ravished Amelia, you'd think that my cock would be satiated. Nope. He wants more. With a quick step, I make my way to the bathroom. I brush my teeth, splash some cold water on my face to wake up, and relieve my bladder before returning to my bedroom. I stride to the set of drawers to pull out a pair of fresh boxer briefs. Once I’ve covered my morning wood, I head downstairs to the kitchen. To my great surprise, it's empty. After checking the deck adjacent to the kitchen and then running up the stairs to the deck on the upper floor, it becomes clear that Holden and Amelia are still sleeping. I know his note said he’d moved Amelia to his bedroom to allow her to get some sleep, but given the time of the day, I never thought he’d still be in bed. Just like mine, Holden’s system has been trained to survive without much sleep.
